Fundamentals of Yoga

Join me for a 30 minute breakdown of one body part or joint at a time to ensure proper alignment, modification options, how to maintain that part safe during flow classes. In this Fundamentals of Yoga class you will learn the basics about yoga practice and how to do each pose in flows safely for your body.

Topics as follows:

  1. Breathe and Core
  2. Arms (Shoulders, Elbow and Wrist)
  3. Hips
  4. Knee
  5. Balance Poses

For class please bring the following:

  • a computer or iPad to stream Zoom 
  • a yoga mat
  • yoga props or improvised yoga props such as: 
    • blocks (can be a hard cover textbook)
    • a strap (can be a sweatpants or a scarf) 
    • a blanket or towel
    • a bolster (can be pillows or rolled up towels)
  • any additional towels or water/tea for your practice
